Advertising
Submitted by jon on Sat, 2007-11-10 23:54.Advertising on the IAF Methods Database is of interest to product and service providers wanting to focus on professional facilitators and related professionals (e.g. management consultants, management researchers, managers, teamleaders, business students). Visitors of this site often have a profile as trend setters, early adopters and opinion leaders. The site is used in relatively long sessions to exchange views, publish work, or to research latest developments in management in general and group facilitation in particular.
The top five banner positions in the advertising column can be contracted for 120x60 static banners. Mail us at helpdesk@iaf-methods.org for details, pricing and sponsor options.
The IAF Methods Database team maintains no relationship with third party advertisers. Reference to any specific service or trademark is not controlled by the IAF Methods Database team and does not constitute or imply its association, endorsement or recommendation.

Copyright
Submitted by jon on Sat, 2007-11-10 23:29.Content: the author and the Methods Database share the copyright
What is meant by content is any of the written material on the site or any written material generated by the site.
- Members may upload methods, files, links, news items, events or add to forums. By doing so they declare to have the copyright unless cited otherwise and if they have the copyright they agree that their submission may be (re)published by anyone in any form, if cited correctly.
- If they do not have the copyright, it is their responsibility to obtain permission to use the material in the way agreed to here.
- IAF-Methods Database reinforces this by requiring anyone republishing content from the site to make correct citations and maintain references to the original author.
- The editor monitors the quality of contributed content. See the Quality paragraph for details.
Methods: use may be restricted
What is meant by method is any of the processes described on this site as and when they are applied in a group situation. The following fields are on the Methods page for each of the methods. If no license level is entered it is assumed to be free.
- Closed: In order to use these methods you can hire the supplier to apply the method.
- Licensed: You can buy the rights to apply and distribute the method yourself. The owner of the method may insist on certification, training or other requirements.
- Open: The author allows you to apply, change and distribute the method (or a derivate of it), but 1) you must maintain a reference to the author, 2) you should publish your change notes (use the history field in the IAF-Methods Database), 3) you may not charge for the concept, 4) you may not impose restrictions on other people’s right to redistribute.
- Free: The source of the method is either cannot be attributed, or the author states that reuse is free from any restrictions.

Access
You can access the IAF Methods Database and browse it without disclosing any personal data. You may communicate with other visitors or post information to be accessed by others. Full database access will be limited to IAF Methods Database team.
Your Personal Information
Your password is only visible to you. Our content management system (Drupal) encrypts passwords and does not keep the text version. Our team can therefore not see your password unless you send it by e-mail (which is a bad information security habit).
Your full name as entered in My Account > Personal Settings will be visible in your postings on the site.
Your e-mail address as entered in My Account > Account Settings will only be used to send system e-mails (like a new password if you ask for it), newsletters you subscribe to and notifications you subscribe to. If you subscribe to the IAF information service (My Account > Personal Settings), your e-mail address will be made available to IAF World for the purpose of the subscription only. We will not share your e-mail address with anyone else.
If you post personal information such as your email address on interactive sections of the website, it may be publicly visible. This may attract spam to your e-mail address.
Personal Choice Options
The IAF Methods Database team will provide you, after we verified your identity, a readable copy of your personal data kept on the site without any charge. You may have your data erased, rectified, amended or completed. We reserve the right to refuse to provide any visitor with personal data. If we refuse, we will give reasons for our refusal. In order to protect you, we will not provide information if we are unable to verify the name of the person making the request. You may challenge our decision to refuse to provide personal data by contacting the IAF Methods Database team.
Cookies
We use cookies to remind us who you are when you access our server. We do not use cookies to store personal data.
