Explain the process to the group.

Steps

1. Give each person 10 cards and one marker.

2. Ask people to not talk during the exercise and that they put one idea per card.

3. Ask the participants to write down one idea on a card and pass it to the person on their right.

4. Ask them to read at the card they just received. They can do one of three things. They can ideas to the card. If they disagree they can write on a new card a counter idea. Otherwise they can create a new card. Pass their work to the person on their right.

5. Keep the process going for about 10 minutes.

6. Process the cards by either selecting from them or clustering them into categories or both.
